GINA project in one click!

What is GINA? Why should GNSS be taken into account when implementing nationwide RUC schemes? Is a GNSS-only RUC scheme economically viable? What will the added value of EGNOS and Galileo be for theses systems? What are the implications of the use of position integrity? Could we have Value Added Services running on a road pricing operating platform? These and many other questions are addressed in the GINA project website which is now available on www.gina-project.eu.
The GINA (GNSS for INnovative road Applications) project website currently features detailed information about the project and its objectives; news highlights; general information about Road User Charging (RUC) and Value Added Services (VAS); project partners’ profile; as well as some links to other interesting initiatives. Also coming soon in the weeks ahead, is the “RUC schemes” map, which will showcase current European road pricing initiatives.
This website provides an open door for all European and international actors interested in the implementation of large scale RUC schemes and/or those who are collaboratively preparing for the adoption of GNSS solutions in the road sector.
GINA website was created within the framework of Work package 4 “Conclusions and Dissemination Activities”. This work package will produce, amongst others, a brochure, quarterly newsletters and regular press releases to promote the GINA project to a wider audience. Registration to the newsletter is available on the home page of the GINA website.
